[Article] The New prEN 15193-1 to Calculate the Energy Requirements for Lighting in Buildings: Comparison to the Previous Standard and Sensitivity Analysis on the New Influencing Factors

چکیده
The differences included in the new version of the standard prEN15193-1 to calculate the LENI were analyzed, especially focusing on the approach to calculate the daylight supply factor (FD,S). The estimation of the daylight availability does not only rely on the calculation of the daylight factor but it also accounts for the climate, the orientation of openings, and the presence of mobile sun shades for glare and thermal control. A sensitivity analysis on these factors was carried out, complemented by a set of case-studies (simple reference rooms with different site and architectural features) for which the LENI was calculated. © 2016 The Authors. Lighting programme and iranian schools lighting requirements
It is accepted that the visual comfort in schools depends on the quality of the whole visual environment. This leads to the concern upon the quality and quantity of lighting. Currently in Iran, in order to calculate energy transfer for public buildings a coefficient is usually used. This coefficient considers the rate of sunlight energy absorption in these kinds of buildings. To increase the ...
متن کاملOptimizing Window Size and its Sunshade in Four Main Directions of Residential Buildings in Mild Climate by Integrating Thermal and Lighting Analysis
As part of sustainable architecture principles and practices, designers need to define building's architectural requirements based on climatic conditions, environmental preservation and reduction in energy consumption. The natural energy sources such as solar radiation affect thermal and lighting performances of buildings depending on its facade characteristics. Traditionally, buildings thermal...
متن کاملSkylight Design Regulation for Residential Building in Hamadan City
Skylights or light wells are an integral part of the design of low- and high-depth buildings. The design of these skylights in different areas is based on specific criteria. According to Hamedan's criteria, only the dimensions of these skylights and the ratio of skylight area to height of the skylight are enough to design skylights. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of sk...
متن کاملAnalysis and Optimization using Renewable Energies to Get Net-Zero Energy Building for Warm Climate
Due to low energy price, economic optimization of consumption has no justification for users in Iran. Nowadays, the issue of ending fossil fuels, production of greenhouse gases and the main role of building in consumption of considerable amount of energy has drawn the focus of global researches to a new concept called net zero energy building. In this study, modeling, simulation and energy anal...

The exterior envelope of buildings play a significant role on the amount of energy consumption in office buildings that are located in warm climates. The present study focuses on the reduction of energy consumption by integrating daylight and artificial lights, and by changing the characteristics of exterior envelope of buildings including window coverage and dimension of buildings. Moreover, t...
